Garry and Janice have been in business for twenty five years. In 1991 they bought the Canterbury of New Zealand – Newmarket franchise. They operated the retail store in Newmarket in three locations and at the same time building a strong team and corporate business. With the loss of the All Black product and more and more retail garments being made in China the team and corporate business was becoming a stronger part of the Newmarket business.
Despite the loss of the All Black product, the Canterbury brand remained very popular for all sports and when the lease expired on the Rialto site the decision was made to move the wholesale division to a small office in the Bays in sunny North Shore, Auckland.
Chris joined the team early in 2003. He has been in the Sports Apparel industry for twenty-four years, having previously worked for Adidas for fourteen years and Canterbury International for ten years.
Recent changes in Canterbury of New Zealand’s structure has now given us even greater opportunities to outfit our clients in branded and unbranded garments. We will be happy to quote on any team uniform or company apparel requirements. Promotional products such as: clocks, pens, bags, hats, can also be easily sourced. Embroideries and screen printing is just another service we offer to our clients.
