First Aid Refresher Course
$ 100 + GST per person
6 hours (> 1 days)
This first aid refresher course enables you to update yourself in best practices that might have changed since your last training.
A first aid refresher course is a great idea for anyone who spends their time in different types of high-risk environments. First aid courses are also a great idea for any parent or guardian who has children, as it can be difficult to handle an emergency at home when you don’t know how to react or respond in the proper way.
Some common reasons people take a first aid course include:
To refresh one’s knowledge about what steps they should take if someone gets hurt while around them
As part of the requirements needed to obtain many professional licences
To help prepare for emergencies at home, school or work
For personal interest
To become certified first aiders
Who should attend?
Attendees must be:
Over 14 years old
Able to complete assessments in English
Currently hold a basic or advanced training certificate with the equivalent NZQA qualification (less than two years old)
Please refer to our basic and advanced first aid course pages for the full details on the topics covered.
If it’s been a while since you took a first aid course or if it’s been a few years since you last refresher, there are likely some things you’ve forgotten. In the event of an emergency, you want to be sure that you’re able to provide first aid until professional help arrives.
This course will provide a refresher on the basics of first aid so that you can feel confident in your abilities if an emergency arises. Once you sign up for this course, you should plan on spending approximately a day on the lessons and the assessment.
